Fog Hits Flight Operations At Bhubaneswar Airport 

Flight operations at the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) in Bhubaneswar were reportedly affected on Friday morning following a significant drop in visibility due to dense fog. As per sources, no flight operations were started owing to poor visibility at the airport while the New Delhi-Bhubaneswar IndiGo flight (2178) was diverted to Raipur. The visibility in the airport area was below 150 metres till 9.30 am today. Several parts of the capital city witnessed dense fog today morning which led to poor visibility and disruption in vehicular movement. Sources said dense fog started engulfing the State capital since midnight and was witnessed till the morning today. As a result, visibility was reduced to as low as 10 metres in different parts of the city.
