Deogarh Excise Superintendent Arrested For Accepting Bribe

The Vigilance on Wednesday arrested Deogarh Excise department Superintendent Ajit Mohapatra while the latter was accepting bribe from a licenced foreign liquor vendor.

According to sources, Mohapatra was accepting a bribe of Rs 1.5 lakh through Mathura Mohan Pradhan, an ASI of Excise  from a licenced foreign liquor Vendor. 

Meanwhile, the anti-corruption wing has launched simultaneous raids at properties associated with Mohaptra and Pradhan in Deogarh and Berhampur.

Balanga PS Blast: SI Tapoi Nayak Suspended For Dereliction Of Duty

A couple of days after the explosion at Balanga Police Station in Puri district, a Sub-Inspector has been suspended on charges of dereliction of duty. Puri SP Kanwar Vishal Singh suspended SI Tapoi Nayak, who was in charge of the Malkhana of the police station, for dereliction of duty.
