Devotees Of Goddess Majhighariani Donate Wholeheartedly, Break All Time Record

Breaking an all time record of donation to Goddess Majhighariani in the Southern Odisha town of Rayagada, the temple received Rs 70 Lakh in cash after the donation box was opened on Wednesday.
As per reports, apart from the cash, the donation box also contained 54gms of gold and 5.201 Kg silver ornaments. The temple managing committee president Raisingh Bidika said a few foreign currencies were also found donated in the box.

Odisha Reports 457 New COVID-19 Cases, 6 Fatalities In Last 24 Hrs

The daily COVID-19 caseload maintained its downward curve in Odisha as the State registered 457 infections on Wednesday including 73 in the 0-18 years age group, informed State Information and Public Relations Department.

While the State’s coronavirus tally stood at 10,17,718, six more fatalities pushed the death toll to 8,114.
Khordha district, comprising State capital Bhubaneswar, recorded the highest number of new infections (314), followed by Cuttack (119) and Mayurbhanj (29).

The six fatalities were reported from Khurda (3), Cuttack (2) and Jajpur (1).

Odisha has now 5,948 active cases. As many as 10,03,603 patients, including 793 on Tuesday, have recovered from the disease so far.
