Brown Sugar Worth 38 Lakh Seized In Bhubaneswar

68 New Covid-19 Deaths; 1,864 Positive Cases In Odisha

Odisha on Saturday confirmed 68 new fatalities due to Covid-19 pushing the death toll to 5,445. The maximum number of 30 fatalities was reported from Khordha district followed by Puri (11) and Angul (8).

The Covid positive tally in Odisha also rose to 9,65,715 after as many as 1,864 people tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours. With this, the active cases in the State stood at 19,013 while 9,41,204  patients have recovered so far, including 2,044 on Friday.

Of the fresh Covid-19 cases reported from 30 districts, 1,082 are from quarantine centres, while the rest 782 are local contact cases, said a data revealed by the I&PR Department.

Khordha district reported the highest 496 cases in the last 24 hours, followed by Cuttack (221), The State has so far tested over 1,54,35,905 samples for Covid-19, including 78,134 in the last 24 hours.
