Fire Breaks Out At Sanskrit Dept Building Of Utkal University In Bhubaneswar

A fire broke out at the Sanskrit department building of Utkal University at Vani Vihar in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday. The fire was reported in the chamber of HoD of Sanskrit department due to AC short circuit. A computer, a printer, a xerox machine and some files were gutted.

The fire has been completely brought under control, informed HoD Subash Chandra Dash.

As per reports, the varsity is closed in view of Covid-19 pandemic. Some locals spotted smoke emanating from the block of the department building today and informed the varsity authorities and also the fire brigade.
