Ganja Worth Rs 50 Lakh Being Smuggled To Haryana From Odisha Seized

Inter-State Mobile Looter Apprehended From Bhadrak

The Railway Police Force (RPF) personnel arrested an inter-state mobile looter from Bhadrak Railway Station on Tuesday night.

RPF personnel also seized nine expensive mobiles of branded companies from his possession.

According to police, the accused belongs to Midnapore area of West Bengal. He has been looting mobiles from the train passengers in between Kolkata and Bhadrak for a long time.

Jumbo Attack Kills Man In Odisha

A man was trampled to death by a herd of elephants on wee hours of Wednesday at Sankhapada village near Koida Range in Sundargarh district.

The deceased has been identified as Bhimsen Nayak. The herd of elephants attacked Nayak and trampled him to death while he was sleeping in a dhaba, said locals.

A herd of around 11 elephants has been wreaking havoc in the area for some time. Earlier this week, a woman in the area was critically injured in jumbo attack.
