Sex Racket Traced In Bhubaneswar, Four Including Woman Held

The Commissionerate Police on Sunday busted a sex racket operating from a private guest house in Laxmi Sagar  Buddheswar area of Bhubaneswar. Acting on a tip off, a team of police raided the guest house & caught some customers and woman from the spot. At least 4 people including a woman has been detained for questioning.

In the last week of March this year, a similar instance of flesh trade was traced from an apartment in Laxmi Sagar area. Police had caught two girls and two other customers during a raid.

Brahmani Turns Watery Grave For Two Youths In Jajpur

Two youths were  killed after drowning in the bank of Brahmani river near Sankarakula village in Bari area of Jajpur district. Identified as Sunil Mishra and Jitendra Panda, the duo who belong to the nearby Balia village, were taking a bath in the river when they accidentally slipped deep into the strong current of the river. Locals with help of fire fighters from Bari fished out the bodies of the youths.

Puri: RT-PCR tests of the servitors and officials of Sri Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA), who are set to take part in the Deva Snana Purnima, began at the Utkal Hindi Vidyapitha in the town today. The tests will be carried out in two phases (9am to 1pm and 3 pm to 6pm) till June 22. It has been decided that the Covid-19 test reports of the persons to take part in the Deva Snana Purnima should be negative before 48 hours of the ritual.
