Rourkela: A-26-year old youth was today arrested for allegedly kidnapping and eloping with a minor girl here.

Police said Sudarshan Jena had allegedly eloped with the girl studying in plus two on February 14, 2012.

The girl`s father after a frantic search came to know about that both Sudarshan and his daughter were staying in Bhubaneswar and informed police station. Police contacted Sudarshan and asked them to return to Rourkela. Police arrested Sudarshan after conducting medical examination of both.

Sudarshan confessed before police that he was in love with the girl. Sudarshan was produced before a court which remanded him to jail custody.
