Youth injured in firing

Bhubaneswar:  One youth was injured here on Tuesday night when two bike-borne miscreants fired at him at Panchupalli village under Airfield police limits.

The incident took place when Deepak Kumar Pradhan was returning from his shop near Retang station and two miscreants waylaid him and fired from backside.

Deepak who was able to return home, admitted to Sum Hospital in a critical condition.

This is the second incident in a week in the state capital. Earlier a girl working in a BPO was fired near Mancheswar Industrial Estate and the culprits are still at large. Police is investigating both the cases.
