Youth found dead, family suspects murder

Manas Mohapatra, a youth of Andharua village was found dead near the Malima temple with severe injury marks on his forehead.

Some of the relatives of the deceased discovered him early in the morning today while they were on their way to the temple.

The bereaved family members informed that Mohapatra had gone for some registration works of lands yesterday and had not returned home last night.

“He (Manas) said that he is going for land registration to Jatani and left home but didn’t return. Though he didn’t have enmity with anyone, we doubt that he has been murdered” said younger brother of the victim, Subas Mohapatra.

After being informed, police reached the spot and are investigating the matter and trying to get some clues from the victim’s mobile phone by tracing the call records.
