Youth arrested for raping woman

Jagabandhu Patnaik, an agent of a private finance company, had allegedly raped the married woman having two children at Bijipur area of the town.

In an FIR filed by the alleged victim against Patnaik on Friday, the 32-year-old woman alleged that the accused had intoxicated her before committing the crime.

"We have arrested Patnaik from Digapahandi on Friday. Both the victim and the accused were sent for medical test," said inspector-in-charge, town police station S K Mohapatra.
