Jajpur: A youth who allegedly cheated job aspirants posing as a state government officer was arrested in Jajpur district on Thursday, police sources said.
 
Sanjay Kumar Das of Radhadeipur in Barchana area was arrested from his residence on the complaint of a person, Ramesh Jena, a resident of Sunguda, whom he allegedly cheated of Rs 40,000, the sources said.
 
In his complaint, Jena said a few months ago Das posed as a government officer and promised to get his son a job after demanding Rs 50,000 as advance.
 
Jena said when he paid Das Rs 40,000 he disappeared after which he filed a complaint with the police, the sources added.
