Baripada: A woman was hacked to death and her husband critically injured allegedly by their relatives in Mayurbhanj district on Wednesday over land dispute, police said.
The two were attacked with sharp weapons at Kaptipada area, about 55 km from here and the woman died on the spot.
The man was rushed to a hospital at Udala and later shifted SCB Medical College Hospital at Cuttack where his condition was stated to be critical.
Land dispute was stated to have led to the murder and efforts were on to nab the accused who were absconding, the police added.
