Mumbai: Ace designer Wendell Rodricks on Saturday  showcased `Timeless`, a clothing line about "ageless purity of line, color", inspired by Indian classics in fashion.

The Goa-based designer displayed his new collection `Timeless` Lakmi Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2012.

There were seven odd mirrors of various different shapes hanging through the ceiling and lively music being played in the background as the models took to the ramp. "It is a line that has a timeless appeal. It was a difficult collection this time. It is an Indian kind of fashion with cholis, lehengas, and cut works," Wendell said.

The designs revolved around `Circles and Indian geometry`, `Indian arcs and zero loops` `Western neutrals in kurta avatars and `Himalayan`. "The theme is slightly drawn from the abstract Indian, from the concept of the square to the geometry of circles, and then converted so that it is a celebration of Indian timelessness," Wendell said.

The collection primarily of western attire saw an interesting line of tunic over satin silk peacock blue, saffron georgette long tunic, berry brown waist coat, dove grey georgette kurta, unisex shirt, square cut dhoti pant, saffron crepe chudidaar, choli-sari fusion.

"The color palette included white, black, grey, gold skin and cranberry brown with a hot mix of saffron, burnt orange, sunshine yellow and iced glacial water," he said.

Celebrities like Arshad Warsi with wife Maria Goretti, Sonali Kulkarni, Simone Singh, Tisca Chopra, Pooja Bedi and others were also present.
