Many districts in Odisha are likely to experience light to moderate rainfall on the festival of colours-Holi, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted on Monday.
As per the latest forecast of the IMD's Bhubaneswar centre, rain may occur in many interior and coastal districts under the impact of the western disturbance between March 7 and 10.
There are possibilities of rain in interior Odisha from March 7 to 8 and in interior as well as coastal Odisha between 9 and 10.

Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Nuapada, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi and dry weather very likely to prevail over the rest of the districts of Odisha.
Day-2 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 08.03.2023 up to 0830 hrs IST of 09.03.2023)
Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Bargarh, Nuapada, Bolangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest of the districts of Odisha.
Day-3 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 09.03.2023 up to 0830 hrs IST of 10.03.2023)
Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Deogarh, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Balasore and dry weather very likely to prevail over the rest of the districts of Odisha.

Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Khurda, Nayagarh, Boudh, Kandhamal and dry weather very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.
