The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday predicted that several parts of the State will continue to experience rainfall activities, triggered by western disturbance, for the next 48 hours.
The weather agency has also issued ‘Yellow Warning’ for thunderstorm and lightning in several parts of the State.
“There will be no large change in the minimum temperature (night temperature) during next two days. The minimum temperature will gradual fall by 2 to 3 degree Celsius thereafter over the districts of Odisha,” IMD said in a release.
As per IMD, Paralakemundi recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 13.5 degrees on Wednesday night.

Day-1 (valid upto 0830 hrs IST of 14.01.2022)
Yellow Warning (Be updated): Thunderstorm with lightning with hail and heavy rain is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Rayagada, Boudh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Nayagarh and Angul.
Thunderstorm with lightning is also likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Bolangir, Khordha, Puri, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Sonepur and Sambalpur.
Day-2 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 14.01.2022 up to 0830 hrs IST of 15.01.2022)
Yellow Warning (Be updated): Thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of costal Odisha, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Rayagada, Malkangiri and Koraput.
Day-3 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 15.01.2022 up to 0830 hrs IST of 16.01.2022) Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Gajapati and Ganjam.
Day-4 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 16.01.2022 up to 0830 hrs IST of 17.01.2022) Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.
Day-5 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 17.01.2022 up to 0830 hrs IST of 18.01.2022)
Yellow Warning (Be updated): Dense fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Koraput, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Bolangir and Gajapati.
