The cyclonic circulation over north Chhattisgarh now lies over southeast Madhya Pradesh and neighbourhood, informed the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday. Currently several parts of Odisha are experiencing enhanced rainfall activities for the last few days.

The IMD today predicted that the state would continue to experience thunderstorms and heavy rainfall activities in the coming days as well.

A yellow warning for thunderstorms and heavy to very heavy rainfall has also been issued for some parts of the state.

Yellow Warning: Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur.

Day 2 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 30.07.2024to 0830 hrs IST of 31.07.2024)

Yellow Warning: Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur.

Yellow Warning: Heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Dhenkanal, Angul, Boudh, Cuttack, Nayagarh.

Heavy rainfall very is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, Jajpur, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Bhadrak, Khordha.
