Get ready for sultry days as the maximum temperature in different parts of Odisha is all set to rise again after 24 hours, predicted India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday.

As per IMD’s regional centre in Bhubaneswar, the maximum temperature is very likely to fall by 2 to 4 degree Celsius during the next 24 hours at many places over the districts of interior Odisha. However, the maximum temperature will again rise gradually by 3 to 5 degrees at several parts of the State thereafter.

Apart from this, several districts in the State will experience rain and thunderstorm activities till April 27. The IMD has also predicted hailstorm in several districts in the next 24 hours.

Weather Forecast: Day-1 (valid up to 0830 hrs IST of 23.04.2022)

Yellow Warning( Be updated): Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 Kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Kalahandi, Koraput, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Gajapati, Boudh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara.

Hailstorm is also likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bolangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal and Boudh.

Day-2 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 23.04.2022 up to 0830 hrs IST of 24.04.2022)

Yellow Warning( Be updated): Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore and Bhadrak.

Day-3 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 24.04.2022 up to 0830 hrs IST of 25.04.2022)

Light to moderate rain/ thunderstorm very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj.
