Severe heatwave conditions to prevail in Odisha for next 4-5 days: IMD DG

There will be no respite from the prevailing extreme weather conditions for people in Odisha with the Director General of India Meteorological Department (IMD), Mrutyunjay Mohapatra on Tuesday predicting continuance of heat wave conditions in the State for the next five days.  

Speaking to OTV, Mohapatra said that maximum (day) temperature will rise by 1-2 degree Celsius in the interior areas of the State during the next five days while ruling out heatwave conditions in southern and coastal regions.
