Red warning for heatwave issued for Odisha

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday predicted a gradual rise in the maximum temperature by 2 to 3 degrees in several parts of Odisha during the next three days. The rise in maximum temperature is mainly due to Northwesterly/Westerly dry air and high solar insolation.

Similarly, the maximum temperature is likely to be above normal by 4 to 6°C over some districts of Odisha during the next 4 to 5 days. The IMD has also issued red warnings for heat wave to severe heat wave in several parts of Odisha.
