The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday predicted that there will be no large change in the maximum (day) temperature over the districts of Odisha during the next 4-5 days with a slight increase thereafter.
The IMD has also issued a ‘yellow warning’ for thunderstorm with lightning in several parts of the state in the next few days.

Yellow Warning: Thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nuapada, Bolangir, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Nawarangpur, Koraput, and Malkangiri.
Day 2 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 03.05.2023 to 0830 hrs IST of 04.05.2023)
Yellow Warning: Thunderstorm with lightning, and gusty surface wind with speed reaching up to 30-40 kmph is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Bolangir, Gajapati, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Mayurbhanj, and Keonjhar.
Thunderstorm with lightning is also very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Sonepur, Boudh, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Sundargarh, Angul, and Dhenkanal.

Yellow Warning: Thunderstorm with lightning, and gusty surface wind with speed reaching up to 30-40 kmph is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Mayurbhanj, and Keonjhar.
Day 4 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 05.05.2023 to 0830 hrs IST of 06.05.2023)
Yellow Warning: Thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Koraput, and Malkangiri.
Day 5 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 06.05.2023 to 0830 hrs IST of 07.05.2023)
