Odisha received less than normal rainfall between June 1 and June 24: IMD

Despite the onset of monsoon, Odisha has witnessed 37 per cent less rainfall than  the normal rainfall range between June 1 and 24, the India Meteorological Department’s (IMD) Regional Centre in Bhubaneswar said.

Despite the onset of monsoon, Odisha has witnessed 37 per cent less rainfall than  the normal rainfall range between June 1 and 24, the India Meteorological Department’s (IMD) Regional Centre in Bhubaneswar said.

As per HR Biswas, Director of Regional Met Centre, the State received 97.8 mm of rainfall between June 1 and 24 against the normal rainfall of 156.1 mm. During this period, Boudh district recorded 206.4 mm of rainfall, an excess of 40 per cent.
