No respite from heatwave till Sunday, ‘Yellow Warning’ sounded for 7 Odisha districts for today

According to IMD, this year for the first time, Bolangir and Titlagarh are the two cities that crossed 45 degrees Celsius mark on Thursday with the temperatures climbing to 45.3 and 45.2 degrees respectively.

The grueling heatwave conditions that have thrown the life of people out of gear in Odisha will continue in some districts of the State with the regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issuing ‘Yellow Warning’ for some western districts for today. 

The Western Odisha districts likely to experience intense heatwave condition today are Sonepur, Bargarh, Bolangir, Nuapada, Boudh, Jharsuguda and Kalahandi
