After affecting normal life in several parts of Odisha, unseasonal rains will not disrupt the New Year, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted on Thursday.
However, several districts in the State will experience light to moderate rain or thundershower activities in the next 24 hours.
The IMD has also issued ‘Yellow Warning’ for dense fog in several districts of the State in the next couple of days.
Weather forecast and warning for districts of Odisha for next few days:
Day-1 (valid upto 0830 hrs IST of 31.12.2021) Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Deogarh, Mayurbhanj and at one or two places over the districts of Nuapada, Bolangir, Sonepur, Boudh, Sambalpur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Bhadrak and Balasore.
Yellow Warning (Be updated): Dense fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Angul, Deogarh, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Nuapada, Bolangir, Sonepur and Boudh.
Day-2 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 31.12.2021 up to 0830 hrs IST of 01.01.2022) Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.
Yellow Warning (Be updated): Dense fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal, Boudh, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Khordha, Puri, Balasore, Kalahandi and Sonepur.
Day-3 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 01.01.2022 up to 0830 hrs IST of 02.01.2022) Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.
