People in several parts of Odisha are yet to recover from the damages caused by the heavy rain triggered by the deep depression which was the remnant of last week’s cyclone Jawad.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday predicted light to moderate rain and thunderstorm activities in several parts of Odisha in the next few days.
Though no warning has been issued for any district of the State, the IMD predicted light rainfall activities in one or two places over the districts of Gajapati and Ganjam in the next 24 hours.
The IMD has also said that the minimum (night) temperature in Odisha is very likely to fall gradually by 3-4 degree Celsius at many places over the districts during the next 4-5 days.

Day-1 (valid up to 0830 hrs IST of 08.12.2021)
Light rain is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Gajapati, Ganjam and dry weather very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.
Day-2 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 08.12.2021 up to 0830 hrs IST of 09.12.2021) Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of South Coastal Odisha, Malkangiri, Koraput and Rayagada.
Day-3 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 09.12.2021 up to 0830 hrs IST of 10.12.2021)
Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of south coastal Odisha, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara Cuttack, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, Malkangiri and Koraput.
