Mercury crosses 45-degree mark in Sambalpur; Bhubaneswar records 75 per cent humidity

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday issued an ‘orange warning’ for heatwave to severe heatwave conditions in different parts of Odisha.

Before noon the mercury had clocked 42 degrees in Sambalpur which later became the hottest place in Odisha after recording a maximum temperature of 45.2 degrees Celsius by 2:30 pm on Friday.

As per the IMD data, Jharsuguda recorded a maximum temperature of 44.6 by 2:30 pm today.
