A low pressure area now lies over Northeast and adjoining Eastcentral Bay of Bengal, said India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday.
As per the IMD, it is likely to become a ‘well marked low pressure area’ and move northwestwards towards north Odisha and adjoining West Bengal coasts during the next 48 hours.
Apart from this, a cyclonic circulation lies over Southwest Bay of Bengal off Tamil Nadu coast.

Squally weather with wind speed reach 45-55 gusting to 65 likely over Andaman Islands on 29th and 30th September, 2023.
West India: Light/moderate fairly widespread to widespread rainfall/thunderstorm and lightning with isolated heavy rainfall very likely over Konkan-Goa and Madhya Maharashtra on 29th September and 1st October.
Central India: Light/moderate fairly widespread to widespread rainfall/thunderstorm and lightning with isolated heavy rainfall very likely over Chhattisgarh during 29th September to 2nd October.
