Low pressure forms over southeast Bay of Bengal, to become well-marked in 2 days

The system is likely to move gradually west-northwest over southwest Bay of Bengal and reach near Sri Lanka coast during subsequently three days.

A low pressure area has formed over the East Equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) informed on Friday.

“Under the influence of the cyclonic circulation over East Equatorial Indian Ocean & adjoining SE Bay of Bengal, a Low Pressure Area has formed over the same region,” the IMD’s Bhubaneswar regional centre said.
