As predicted by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), a low pressure area has formed over the northwest Bay of Bengal on Tuesday.
“Under the influence of cyclonic circulation over Central Bay of Bengal, a low pressure area has formed over Westcentral Bay of Bengal and adjoining Northwest Bay off north Andhra Pradesh and south Odisha coasts,” informed IMD.
The associated cyclonic circulation extends up to 7.6 km above the mean sea level tilting southwest wards, said IMD.
