Low pressure becomes well marked, to move across Jharkhand, north Odisha; fresh low pressure on Aug 29

Under the influence of the upper air cyclonic circulation over south Bangladesh and its neighbourhood, a Low-Pressure Area formed over the same region on Sunday. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday informed that the low-pressure area over Bangladesh and adjoining Gangetic West Bengal moved nearly westward and became a well-marked low-pressure area over Gangetic West Bengal.

As per the IMD, it is likely to move west-northwestwards across Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand and adjoining north Odisha during the next two days.

Moreover, a fresh low-pressure area is likely to form over East Central & adjoining North Bay of Bengal on August 29, informed IMD.
