Normal life across Odisha has been adversely affected owing to steep rise in the maximum temperature and intense humid conditions for the past couple of weeks. Jharsuguda district recorded highest 41.8 degree Celsisus by 11:30 am, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Sunday.
Apart from Jharsuguda, Keonjhar recorded a maximum temperature of 39.2, Bhubaneswar (38.2), Sambalpur (37.6), Balasore (37.2) and Chandbali recorded 37 degrees by 11:30 am today.
As per the forecast issued by IMD on Saturday, heatwave condition is likely to prevail in different parts of the state for the next four days.
There will be no large change in the maximum temperature(Day temperature) during next four days and slight fall thereafter over the districts of Odisha. The maximum temperature is likely to be above normal by 3 to 5 degree Celsius at a few places over the districts of Odisha during next four days, said IMD.
