The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday predicted light to moderate rain and thunderstorm activities in some parts of Odisha.
The IMD has also issued a yellow warning for thunderstorm with lightning in some parts of the state in the next 24 hours.
The alert will remain valid till 8:30 am on October 9, 2024.

Yellow Warning: Thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at isolated places in the districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, Bhadrak, Sundargarh, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Cuttack, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur.
Day 2 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 09.10.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 10.10.2024)
Light to moderate rain/thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Balasore, Bhadrak, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati.
Day 3 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 10.10.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 11.10.2024)
Light to moderate rain/thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, Bhadrak, Gajapati, Rayagada, Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur.
