The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday issued an alert for thunderstorm and heavy rainfall activities in several parts of Odisha after 48 hours. Several parts of the state experienced light to moderate rainfall activities in the past 24 hours.

A yellow warning for thunderstorm and heavy rainfall has been issued for several districts of the state from July 2.

Yellow Warning: Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Khordha, Puri, Nayagarh, Dhenkanal.

Day 4 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 03.07.2023 to 0830 hrs IST of 04.07.2023)

Yellow Warning: Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Kalahandi. Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Ganjam, Gajapati, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar.

Yellow Warning: Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada,Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Nabarangapur, Malkangiri, Koraput, Bhadrak, Balasore, Jajpur, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal.
