IMD predicts more rain for Odisha, issues ‘yellow warning’ for next 3 days

According to the regional center of the India Meteorological Department, Kirmira in Jharshuguda district received the highest amount of rainfall.

With a low-pressure area having been formed over north Odisha and adjoining Gangetic West Bengal and Jharkhand, the weathermen have predicted more rain likely to be experienced in most parts of the state. 

While a low-pressure area has been formed, the state has been experiencing incessant rains for the last two days. According to the regional center of the India Meteorological Department, Kirmira in Jharshuguda district received the highest amount of rainfall. It recorded 215mm of rainfall, followed by 184.8mm in Laikera 166mm in Bhadrak, 160mm in Kuchinda, 150mm in Dhamnagar, 139mm in Kolabira and 138mm in Bhandaripokhari.
