The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday issued a ‘yellow warning’ for heavy rainfall in several parts of Odisha in the coming days.

As per the IMD, the monsoon trough at mean sea level now passes through Bikaner, Churu, Guna, Sidhi, Ambikapur, Balasore, and thence southeastwards to Central Bay of Bengal.

The cyclonic circulation over west-central Bay of Bengal adjoining north Andhra Pradesh coast now lies over the North and adjoining Central Bay of Bengal, the IMD said.

Yellow Warning: Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangapur, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Mayurbhanj.

Yellow Warning: Heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nuapada, Kalahandi, Bolangir, Sonepur, Bargarh, Sambalpur. Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangapur, Kandhamal, Boudh, Angul, Deogarh, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Cuttack.

Yellow Warning: Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Cuttack.

Yellow Warning: Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangapur, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore.
