The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday issued a ‘Yellow Warning’ for cold wave conditions which will prevail in several parts of Odisha from Thursday onwards.
As per IMD, the minimum temperature (night temperature) is very likely to fall gradually by 3 to 5 degree Celsius during the next four days over several districts of Odisha. Light rain is also likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of south coastal Odisha, Rayagada, Koraput, Kandhamal and Jagatsinghpur districts in the next 24 hours.
The weather bureau has also issued a ‘Yellow Warning’ for dense fog in several parts of the State in the next couple of days.

Day-1 (valid up to 0830 hrs IST of 26.01.2022) Light rain is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of south coastal Odisha, Rayagada, Koraput, Kandhamal and Jagatsinghpur.
Yellow Warning (Be updated): Dense fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Boudh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Jajpur and Bhadrak.
Day-2 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 26.01.2022 up to 0830 hrs IST of 27.01.2022)
Yellow Warning (Be updated): Dense fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Kandhamal, Ganjam, Gajapati, Khordha, Puri, Nayagarh, Cuttack and Jagatsinghpur.
Day-3 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 27.01.2022 up to 0830 hrs IST of 28.01.2022) Dry weather is most likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.
Day-4 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 28.01.2022 up to 0830 hrs IST of 29.01.2022)
Yellow Warning (Be updated): Cold wave condition is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Bolangir and Sonepur.
Day-5 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 29.01.2022up to 0830 hrs IST of 30.01.2022)
Yellow Warning (Be updated): Cold wave condition very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Bolangir, Sonepur, Sambalpur,Angul and Deogarh.
