Heavy to very heavy rainfall alert for several Odisha districts; check IMD’s latest forecast

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall in several parts of Odisha in the next few days. As per the IMD, the maximum temperature (Day temperature) is very likely to fall further by 3 to 5 degrees Celsius at many places over the districts of Odisha during next three days and no large change is expected thereafter.

Day 1 (Valid upto 0830 hrs IST of 22.06.2023)

Yellow Warning: Heat wave condition is likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Bargarh. Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nabarangapur, Koraput, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj.

Day 2 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 22.06.2023 to 0830 hrs IST of 23.06.2023)

Yellow Warning: Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Balasore, Cuttack, Khurda.

Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nabarangapur, Kalahandi, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj.

Day 3 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 23.06.2023 to 0830 hrs IST of 24.06.2023)

Yellow Warning: Heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara and heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Jajpur.

Day 4 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 24.06.2023 to 0830 hrs IST of 25.06.2023)

Yellow Warning: Heavy to very heavy Rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Angul, Dhenkanal, Boudh.

Heavy rainfall is also very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Khordha, Nayagarh, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Nabarangapur, Sonepur, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Koraput.
