Bengaluru, the capital city of Karnataka and IT capital of India, witnessed moderate to heavy rainfall on Wednesday.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has, meanwhile, predicted heavy rainfall till November 24 in most parts of Karnataka, including Bengaluru.
While most of the areas under Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) were painted green, indicating moderate rainfall, areas like Dasarahalli and R R Nagara zones were coloured blue, which means heavy rainfall.
Similarly, the Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC) also predicted widespread light to moderate rain with isolated heavy rain likely over Bengaluru.
South Karnataka districts of Mandya, Ramnagar, Mysuru, Tumakuru, north Karnataka districts of Vijayapura and Haveri are also likely to receive showers from November 23 onwards.
The centre also predicted widespread light to moderate rain with isolated heavy rain likely over Karnataka (SIK) and Malnad districts and isolated to widespread very light-moderate rain likely over Karnataka (NIK) districts and isolated-scattered very light-light rain likely over Coastal Karnataka districts.
On Monday, the Capital city recorded minimum temperature of 13.9 degrees Celsius. This minimum temperature is the least recorded in the month of November in Bengaluru in a decade.
