Several districts in Odisha will experience heavy rainfall in the next 24 hours, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted on Sunday.
The heavy rainfall alert has been issued for the districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, Kandhamal, Boudh, Kalahandi and Ganjam.
“The north-south trough from northeast Bihar to south Interior Odisha now runs from northeast Bihar to south coastal Odisha across northeast Jharkhand and Gangetic West Bengal at 1.5 km above mean sea level,” said the IMD.
