Heat Wave Conditions Likely in Odisha

From March 29 to 31, parts of Odisha are likely to experience intense heat wave conditions, with maximum temperatures likely to exceed 40°C. Meteorologists have warned that the rise in temperatures could make daytime conditions extremely harsh, increasing the risk of heat-related illnesses.

The eastern region of the country, including Odisha, West Bengal, Bihar, and Jharkhand, is expected to witness a sharp increase in daytime temperatures. The heat wave could be particularly intense in coastal and interior Odisha, where dry conditions will further escalate the impact of the rising temperatures.

India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday informed that there would be a gradual rise in maximum temperature by 2 to 6 degrees C during the next four days and no large change thereafter over the districts of Odisha.

The IMD has also issued a yellow warning for heat wave for several parts of Odisha.
