The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday informed that a fresh western disturbance is likely to affect the Western Himalayan region from October 13.
As per the IMD, a north-south trough runs from sub-Himalayan West Bengal to north Odisha across Gangetic West Bengal in lower tropospheric levels.
Similarly, the southwest Monsoon has withdrawn from the remaining parts of East Uttar Pradesh, East Madhya Pradesh, some parts of Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, North Interior Karnataka, most parts of Maharashtra, and some more parts of Central Arabian Sea today.

Northeast India: Light to moderate rainfall at many places with isolated heavy rainfall accompanied with thunderstorm and lightning very likely over Arunachal Pradesh and Assam & Meghalaya on October 9 and reduction thereafter.
East India: Light to moderate rainfall at many places with very likely over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim during next two days and reduction thereafter.
South India: Light to moderate rainfall at some places with isolated heavy rainfall accompanied with thunderstorm & lightning very likely over Tamil Nadu, South Interior Karnataka and Kerala during 9th-11th October.
Central & West India: No significant weather over the regions during next five days
