Heat Wave Alert For Odisha
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday predicted that several parts of Odisha will experience hot and humid conditions in coming days. A yellow warning has been issued in this regard as well.
The only respite is the fact that IMD has also predicted light to moderate rainfall triggered by thunderstorm activities in some pockets of the state.
Apart from hot and humid conditions, heat wave conditions are also likely in different districts of Odisha.

Day 1 (Valid upto 0830 hrs IST of 10.05.2025)
Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur in the afternoon/evening hours at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Bolangir, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Nabarangapur, Koraput, Malkangiri, Keonjhar.
Yellow Warning: Hot and humid conditions are very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati.
Day 2 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 10.05.2025 to 0830 hrs IST of 11.05.2025)
Yellow Warning: Hot and humid conditions are very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati.
Day 3 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 11.05.2025 to 0830 hrs IST of 12.05.2025)
Yellow Warning: Heat wave conditions are very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Bolangir, Boudh.
Hot and humid conditions are very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Mayurbhanj.
