Depression to trigger heavy rainfall in south Tamil Nadu and Kerala; check IMD’s latest forecast

India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday said that it is very likely to continue to move southwestwards across south Sri Lanka and emerge into Comorin and adjoining Gulf of Mannar off west coast of Sri Lanka by early morning on February 3.

Yesterday’s Depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal now lies over south Sri Lanka and lay centered about 90 km southwest of Batticaloa (Sri Lanka) and 120 km north of Hambantota (Sri Lanka) on Thursday.
