Deep Depression to weaken, IMD predicts heavy rainfall in Odisha, Jharkhand and these states

As per India Meteorological Department (IMD), it would continue to move west-northwestwards across West Bengal & adjoining north Odisha and Jharkhand towards north Chhattisgarh during the next 24 hours and weaken gradually.

The Deep Depression over coastal areas of West Bengal and adjoining north Odisha moved westnorthwestwards during the past six hours with a speed of 22 kmph. The system now lay centered over West Bengal and adjoining north Odisha near latitude, about 40 km southwest of Kharagpur (West Bengal), 30 km northeast of Baripada (Odisha) and 120 km southeast of Jamshedpur (Jharkhand).

As per India Meteorological Department (IMD), it would continue to move west-northwestwards across West Bengal & adjoining north Odisha and Jharkhand towards north Chhattisgarh weaken gradually.
