The cyclonic circulation over southeast Jharkhand and its neighbourhood extending upto 1.5 km above mean sea level has become less marked, said India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday.

As per the IMD, the maximum day-time temperature saw an appreciable rise at one or two places over north coastal Odisha and south interior Odisha but there has been no large change in other parts of the State.

The weather agency has also issued ‘yellow warning’ for thunderstorm with lightning at one or two places over the districts of Koraput, Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj in the next 24 hours.

Weather Forecast: Day-1 (valid up to 0830 hrs IST of 09.04.2022)

Light to moderate rain/ thundershower likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Boudh, Angul, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Sundargarh.

Yellow Warning (Be updated):

Thunderstorm with lightning alert issued for the districts of Koraput, Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj.

Day-2 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 09.04.2022 up to 0830 hrs IST of 10.04.2022)

Rain/ thundershower likely over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati and Kandhamal.

Day-3 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 10.04.2022 up to 0830 hrs IST of 11.04.2022)

Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj.

Light to moderate rain/ thundershower activity likely over the districts of Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Balasore.

Day-5 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 12.04.2022 up to 0830 hrs IST of 13.04.2022)

Light to moderate rain/ thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj.
