The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday predicted heavy rainfall activities in entire coastal Odisha on October 2, 2022.
As per IMD, a cyclonic circulation is likely to emerge in northeast and adjoining eastcentral Bay of Bengal around October 1, 2022.
Light to moderate rainfall is likely to occur at several parts of Odisha in the next 24 hours.

Yellow warning: Thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati,Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Malkangiri , Koraput, Nabarangpur.
Heavy rainfall is also likely at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Gajapati, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj.
