India is likely to experience stormy activities in the last week of October due to two possible cyclones- one is brewing over the Bay of Bengal and the other is over the Arabian Sea.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), a cyclone named as 'Tej' is brewing over the Arabian Sea while a possible cyclone 'Hamoon' is forming over the Bay of Bengal.

- Cyclone Tej is predicted to intensify into an extremely severe cyclonic storm
- It has moved west-northwestwards recording a wind speed at 18 kmph in the last six hours.
- It was laying centered over the southwest Arabian Sea on Sunday.
- Under the impact of Tej, south coast of Oman and adjoining Yemen are likely to see stormy activities and heavy rainfall.
All About Possible Cyclone Hamoon in Bay of Bengal
- This possible Cyclone Hamoon forming over the Bay of Bengal is reported to be moving close to the Andhra coast.
- The depression has further intensified into a deep depression over the West Central Bay of Bengal.
- Under the impact of this possible cyclone, coastal pockets of Odisha and West Bengal are likely to see light to moderate rainfall.
- It currently lays centered at 1730 hours IST of 22 Oct about 450 km south of Paradip (Odisha), 560 km south-sw of Digha, and 750 km south-southwest of Khepupara (Bangladesh).
- It is expected to move nearly NW and intensify into cyclonic storm during next 24 hours.
