Cyclone Remal intensifies into severe cyclonic storm; to cross with max wind speed of 110-120 kmph 

Cyclone Remal, currently over the North Bay of Bengal, has intensified into a severe cyclonic storm. It is positioned approximately 270 km from Sagar Islands and is projected to hit the Bangladesh and West Bengal coasts around midnight on May 26 with winds reaching 110-120 kmph.

Cyclone Remal intensifies into severe cyclonic storm

The cyclonic storm “Remal” (pronounced as “Re-Mal”) over North Bay of Bengal has intensified into a severe cyclonic storm. It is about 270 kms of Sagar Islands. 

The cyclonic storm Remal is likely to move northwards, intensify further and cross Bangladesh and adjoining West Bengal coasts around midnight of May 26 as a Severe Cyclonic Storm (SCS).
