Cyclone Michaung: Orange warning for heavy rainfall in Odisha districts till Dec 6 early hours

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a red alert for the Andhra Pradesh coast as the severe cyclonic storm Michaung was expected to move nearly northwards and cross the south Andhra Pradesh coast close to Bapatla today.

Cyclone Michaung to trigger heavy rainfall in Odisha

The landfall process of severe cyclonic storm Michaung started in Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday noon, disrupting normal life across the state. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a red alert for the Andhra Pradesh coast as the severe cyclonic storm Michaung was expected to move nearly northwards and cross the south Andhra Pradesh coast close to Bapatla today.

Meanwhile, several parts of Odisha also experienced rainfall activities under its influence. The IMD has predicted that several districts of Odisha are likely to experience heavy rainfall activities in the next 24 hours.
