Conditions favourable for monsoon advance; IMD predicts heatwave in these states

The IMD has predicted that an intense spell of rainfall is likely to continue over Northeast India and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim during the next five days.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday said that conditions are favorable for further advance of monsoon into some more parts of central Arabian Sea, Goa, some parts of south Maharashtra, some more parts of Karnataka, remaining parts of Tamil Nadu, some parts of south Andhra Pradesh, some more parts of west central & northwest Bay of Bengal during the next 48 hours.
